SUMMARY: Partial demolition, partial refurbishment of existing 60’s estate also involving 12 new build flats (Phase 1: complete) and 36 new-build 3 storey family houses (Phase 2: in construction). The project also involved extensive re-modelling of the public realm, with new streets and homezones.
The design strategy adopted for the new-build houses created a coherent visual relationship with the refurbished properties and the detailed design reflects the very significant level changes across the sites.
