SUMMARY: Designed and procured via a collaborative partnership involving the design team, led by Triangle, the constructor, an existing GP practice and the Liverpool & Sefton Health Partnership, this was a part new-build, part refurbishment project. The existing single, storey building was retained but re-roofed entirely and re-modelled extensively to bring the building up to contemporary standards. In addition, an entirely new wing was added to provide new healthcare services. Careful use of matching brick and contrasting cladding panels ensured that the refurbishment and new-build sections achieved a contemporary visual unity.
SERVICES: Full architectural services from inception through planning consent to the preparation of all construction drawings for the Constructor, Galliford Try, working in partnership with LSHP.
Pre-planning services included the initial design and option appraisals for the alternatives of a refurbishment or new build solution. In this case, a hybrid approach was adopted. Extensive consultation with a range of stakeholders/partners was another key aspect of our service.
