PROJECT: Extra Care Housing

SUMMARY: A proposed scheme for a new extra care housing development, providing apartment living for over-55's, with associated access, local community facilities, car-parking and landscaping.

Designed to meet a range of current and future needs for modern, adaptable housing for older generations in Tameside; sited on an existing brownfield site, with complex topography, the scheme forms a central part of a greater masterplan development with the aim of encouraging the growth of a local community of multi-generational residents in the local area.

Consisting of 91 self-contained 1 & 2 bed Category 2 apartments, including a number of apartments designed to meet Part M Category 3, the development will provide a mix of public and privately accessible spaces that are designed to serve the local community as well as residents. These include a publicly accessible café and dining area, hobby rooms, communal lounge, guest accommodation, hair & beauty facilities and a private garden and courtyard space for residents.

SERVICES: Feasibility studies through detailed design to planning submission. Triangle worked alongside the contractor throughout the design process to develop deliverable proposals to streamline the onward delivery of the scheme.
